The Belle Etoile shopping centre has donated €8,000 to the Luxembourg non-profit organisations Catch a Smile and Stëmm vun der Strooss.
In April, Belle Etoile organised its traditional “Velooccasiounsmaart” (second-hand bicycle market). Like every year, this event was a huge success: nearly 1,600 bikes found a new owner. Thanks to the €5 retained for each bike sold, the two non-profits Catch a Smile and Stëmm vun der Strooss were able to share a cheque for €8,000.
Manu Konsbruck, Director of Belle Etoile, recently handed over the cheque to those in charge of the two organisations.
Around 100 unsold bikes were also donated by their owners for the benefit of Catch a Smile and the Luxembourg Red Cross.
