Luxembourg real estate developer Nhood and the Cloche D'Or Shopping Centre have joined a new solidarity campaign launched by the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess Foundation (Fondation du Grand-Duc et de la Grande-Duchesse) and local artist Jacques Schneider ahead of National Day 2021.
Since its creation, the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess Foundation has helped those who fall through the cracks of the social net. In 2020, it supported 53 families and, since the pandemic began, it has increased its financial assistance by 20%.
Jacques Schneider, a multifaceted artist and humanist from Luxembourg, has developed, in agreement with Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and the Grand Duchess, an organic, eco-responsible T-shirt (with a Fair Wear label) to raise funds for the foundation.
The "Eng grouss Famill" (one big family) T-shirt will be on sale at Jacques Schneider's new concept store / gallery / workshop in the Cloche d'Or Shopping Centre. The campaign will run until 1 July 2021, with part of the proceeds (€10 per T-shirt sold) going towards supporting the most disadvantaged.
The collected amount will then be officially handed over to the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess Foundation, Jacques Schneider and the director of the Cloche d'Or Shopping Centre.
Nearly 200 donation boxes have now been placed in the shopping centre and its stores. In addition, 200 copies of Jacques Schneider's book "Les Aventures du Garçon Grand-Ducal", signed and dedicated by the artist in his concept store, will be given to donors (for a value of €10,000).
In order to ensure the success of this campaign, Her Royal Highness the Grand Duchess visited Jacques Schneider at the Cloche d'Or Shopping Centre this week, thus finalising preparations. During this visit, she warmly testified to the quality of the spaces and the dynamism of the shopping centre and offered her personal support.
