Luxembourgish non-profit association Stëmm vun der Strooss has announced that it recently received a donation of €2,500 from a greetings card campaign.

The communications agency Ierace Dechmann + Partners raised €2,500 for Stëmm vun der Strooss through its charitable greetings cards initiative.

The cheque presentation took place in the presence of representatives Alain Ierace and Dan Dechmann (managing partners) and Valérie Candat (communications manager), who commented: "We sent a little over 700 cards to our customers and partners who put their creativity into action. We committed to making a donation for each participation. This is what we did and we are happy to be able to offer our help and show solidarity to those who are most in need".

After a brief presentation of the association's various activities, Alexandra Oxacelay, Director of Stëmm vun der Strooss, explained that this donation will be used to finance part of the costs associated with the acquisition of a professional dishwasher for the social restaurant in Hollerich, where 350 meals are prepared and served daily.

In addition, Stëmm vun der Strooss has announced the renewal of the solidarity scarf initiative after the recent handing over of scarves to Marc Balthasar, the manager of Stëmm's Schweesdreps professional reinsertion workshop in Esch-sur-Alzette. The initiative is run in collaboration with the "Les Parcs du troisième âge" nursing home.

Alexandra Oxacelay stressed: "In this period of crisis: Stëmm vun der Strooss needs even more gestures of solidarity. Donations can be made to the account BCEE LU63 0019 2100 0888 3000".
