The "Les Jardins d'Alysea" care home, based in Crauthem, has donated €5,000 the Luxembourg non-profit organisation "Le Rêve du Petit Prince".
On Tuesday, residents and the management team of Les Jardins d'Alysea presented a cheque for €5,000 to Carlo Schiertz, president of Le Rêve du Petit Prince. This sum came from the sale of "Alysé'Art" creations made by the care centre residents throughout 2018 and at the Christmas Market.
When presenting the cheque, Andrée Peters stressed on behalf of all the care centre residents: "When it comes to getting involved for a good cause, we are always happy to be able to cook, bake cookies or sew together with the staff of our nursing home. We are already ready for future projects."
The Le Rêve du Petit Prince non-profit organisation was founded on 31 October 2007 and it allows children with an illness to fulfil their lifetime dream and take charge of the organisation and expenses related to this dream. In particular, the aim of the association is to enable children with rare diseases, "Dys" disorders, epilepsy or other illnesses to benefit from case-specific therapies adapted to their needs.
