On Friday 24 July 2026, 6 Monks (6M), the Luxembourg-based specialist in digital asset investment management, announced an integrated platform designed to facilitate asset managers introducing crypto exposure within UCITS funds.
The solution combines investment structuring, institutional-grade infrastructure and legal expertise to support the implementation of crypto investment strategies within one of Europe's most recognised fund frameworks.
The initiative follows the CSSF's recent clarification allowing UCITS funds to gain indirect exposure to crypto-assets, opening new opportunities for asset managers seeking to respond to growing investor demand while maintaining robust governance and investor protection standards, noted 6M.
According to 6M, although the regulatory framework is evolving, implementing crypto investment strategies remains a significant challenge for many market participants. The company noted that fund structuring, custody, valuation, operational controls and regulatory compliance require specialised expertise across multiple disciplines.
To address these challenges, the investment management specialist said it has developed an integrated platform that brings together services across the investment value chain.
"Our objective is simple: support asset managers in moving from interest in digital assets to practical implementation within a framework they already know and trust," said Quentin Werlé, Head of Portfolio Management at 6M. "The regulatory door is now open. What the market needs is a reliable and institutional way to access this opportunity," he continued.
The platform was developed by 6M in collaboration with Société Générale Securities Services (SGSS) and Arendt, the company said.
According to the company, SGSS provides institutional custody, asset servicing and operational infrastructure, while Arendt contributes legal, regulatory and fund structuring expertise. 6M, which specialises in digital asset investment solutions, provides the investment structuring and management capabilities for crypto-related strategies.
"SGSS Luxembourg acts as both an accelerator and stabiliser in this environment. We support asset managers across the full fund value chain and have expanded our services to enable them to integrate crypto-assets and tokenised instruments into their own investment offerings," commented Jean-Pierre Gomez, Head of Regulatory & Public Affairs at SGSS Luxembourg.
"The recent regulatory developments provide greater clarity for asset managers interested in exploring digital asset strategies," said Henning Schwabe, Partner at Arendt. "The key challenge is no longer whether access is possible, but how to implement it in a way that remains robust, scalable and fully aligned with investor protection requirements. Bringing together investment expertise, operational infrastructure and legal know-how is essential to achieving that objective," he concluded.
This platform aims to provide asset managers with a practical and credible pathway to access a rapidly evolving asset class within a familiar regulatory environment.
