On Thursday 23 January 2025, the XLG Group, a professional cleaning, industrial maintenance and facility management company, announced the acquisition of Propper, a facility management company in Luxembourg previously owned by Michel Greco.
Founded in 1985, XLG is a Belgian family-owned company that today employs over 5,500 people in Luxembourg and Belgium. The acquisition of Propper, which has 300 technicians and around a dozen office staff, enables XLG to expand its range of services for businesses in the Grand Duchy, the company stated.
Propper is known for delivering services in office cleaning, window washing, green space maintenance and communal area cleaning. The company manages 98 fire station sites and 30 Leclerc hypermarket locations across Luxembourg.
Propper’s offices have already moved to XLG’s premises in Steinfort at 47 Rue Charles Kieffer, L-8389 Grass. The company described this as a strategic location to support the expansion of its activities in Luxembourg.
David Gaeta, Regional Director of XLG Luxembourg, stated: “This acquisition of Propper is a key milestone in XLG’s development in Luxembourg. It enables us to create significant synergies in both our operations and client base, strengthening our presence and our ability to deliver quality services. Together with our teams, we will be even stronger and better equipped to ensure sustainable growth for our clients and employees. This expansion allows us to offer a broader range of services and to better address the specific needs of the Luxembourg market.”
