Luxembourg's General Directorate for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises has recalled that the compensation aid scheme for the increased minimum wage for businesses expires on Thursday 30 September 2021.

This state aid takes the form of a one-off bonus which is awarded for a single month (at the choice of the applicant) during the period from January to June 2021.

Companies that meet the necessary conditions and have not yet submitted a request for compensation can do so via Guichet.lu until 30 September 2021. An information sheet explaining the procedures for this support measure is also available on this website.

To date, the state has paid out around €1.5 million as part of this aid scheme.

Luxembourg's Minister for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Lex Delles, emphasised that “the General Directorate for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises treats each case quickly and carefully in order to guarantee effective support. It is, however, essential that requests be made as soon as possible. That is why I invite all eligible companies to submit a request for assistance in good time”.
