The Integrated Biobank of Luxembourg (IBBL) announced Wednesday the launch of a comprehensive package of bioservices to cater to the needs of industry clients, academia and EU consortia.
These bioservices, which include the IBBL's new Biomarker Validation service, have been revealed alongside the launch of a new corporate website for the biobank, to outline this new services package.
The package is divided into six categories of bioservices, these being Biobanking; Sample Processing; Sample Analysis & Quality Control; Biomarker Validation; Biospecimen Proficiency Testing; and University Biobanking Certificate. These various offers aim to highlight IBBL as an ideal partner for large-scale studies such as multicentre clinical trials and international research projects.
The Biomarker Validation service will enable researchers or academics to submit a proposal for their biomarker(s), with the most promising biomarker candidate selected to receive IBBL's pre-clinical biomarker validation service free of charge. This will be determined based on a pre-analytical and analytical validation, as well as clinical verification. The call for proposals will be launched on IBBL's Biomarker Validation Service webpage, and those wishing to be kept updated on the launch are invited to leave details on the Website contact page.
Whilst www.biobank.lu remains IBBl's multilingual website for the general public, www.ibbl.lu has been revamped as the biobank's corporate website focused on its bioservices. Features such as magazine articles and new videos are available on the site, which can be viewed from a desktop, laptop, smartphone or tablet.
