On Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 September 2026, the 1/16 finals of the men’s Loterie Nationale Coupe de Luxembourg got underway with seven games, with one Enovos League team already eliminated from the competition.

Wednesday’s game between Résidence Walferdange and AS Soleuvre saw the hosts make the stronger start, winning the first quarter by five points. Soleuvre responded in the second quarter and went into the break holding a one-point advantage.

The third quarter proved decisive. With Walferdange trailing 45-50, the hosts produced a fifteen-point run, led by Desean Hampton with nine points and Oliver Vujakovic with four, to move six points ahead. Soleuvre reduced the deficit to three points in the final quarter, but Eric Bettini’s team were unable to complete the comeback, with Walferdange eventually securing an 82-71 victory. Luxembourg national team player Oliver Vujakovic led the winners with 26 points and also recorded twelve rebounds to complete a double-double.

The Round of 16 of the women’s LALUX Ladies Cup will get underway in October. Last season’s winners Sparta Bertrange will not take part in this season’s competition following the club management’s decision to suspend its women’s project.

Last season’s finalists T71 Dudelange will enter the competition in the next round.
