On Wednesday 13 May 2026, Etzella Ettelbruck secured a second victory in the Men’s Basketball Enovos League finals series after defeating Sparta Bertrange away in front of a packed crowd at the Centre Sportif “Atert” in Bertrange.
The current champions took control early in the game, winning the opening quarter 25-15 and going into half-time with an eleven-point advantage. American guard Adrian Delph led the visitors offensively in the first half, scoring sixteen points before the break.
Sparta Bertrange responded strongly in the third quarter and reduced the deficit several times but never managed to take the lead. Etzella regained control during the final period and ultimately secured an 84-80 victory despite a late push from the hosts.
Four Etzella players finished the game in double digits: Adrian Delph scored 23 points, Philippe Gutenkauf added 20, while Nicholas Davis and Billy McDaniel contributed sixteen and thirteen points respectively.
The third game of the Men’s Basketball Enovos League finals series will take place on Sunday 17 May 2026 in Ettelbruck, where Etzella could secure the championship title with another victory.
Meanwhile, T71 Dudelange lead the Women’s Enovos League finals series 2-0 and will host AB Contern in the third game on Friday 15 May 2026.
