On Saturday 8 March 2025, Luxembourg’s Enovos Basketball Leagues saw the men's teams finalise the quarter-final matchups and the relegation battle pairings, while the women's competition completed its penultimate game day.

Men’s Enovos League: next up is quarter-final

The final (22nd) game day of the regular season in the Luxembourg Men's Basketball Championship determined the playoff matchups. Notably, victories allowed Amicale Steesel and Arantia Larochette to climb to second and fifth place, respectively, in the final standings. Amicale secured an away win against AB Contern (75-62), which saw them overtake T71 Dudelange, who dropped to third place after an 86-94 home defeat to league leaders Etzella Ettelbruck. Arantia, trailing by sixteen points heading into the final quarter against Résidence Walferdange, staged a dramatic comeback to claim an 86-84 victory away from home.

Women’s Enovos League: Gréngewald Hueschtert remain unbeaten

With only one game day remaining in the Women’s Enovos League regular season, the top four teams set to compete in the playoffs could still see changes. League leaders Gréngewald Hueschtert (20-0) continued their unbeaten run with a 75-67 home victory over third-placed AB Contern. Alexus Latrese Johnson, who played the entire game, delivered an outstanding performance with a double-double of 33 points, 19 rebounds and 8 assists.

The defeat for Contern (13-7) allowed T71 Dudelange (12-8) to close the gap on third place, following their 69-47 away win over second-placed Sparta Bertrange. With just one point separating the two teams, the battle for seeding remains open ahead of the final round.

Both Enovos Leagues now enter a two-week break as attention shifts to the Luxembourg Cup finals next weekend. The decisive matches will take place on Saturday 15 March 2025 at the Coque in Luxembourg-Kirchberg. In the men’s Loterie Nationale Cup final, Etzella Ettelbruck will face Basket Esch, while the LALUX Ladies Cup final will see Gréngewald Hueschtert take on Sparta Bertrange.
