On Thursday 13 February 2025, after an eighteen-day break due to the EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers, the first match of Game Day 3 in the second round of the regular season in the Women's Enovos League took place across Luxembourg, as the league enters its final stretch before the play-offs.
The match featured two teams from the bottom half of the standings: Les Sangliers Wiltz, who entered the game with a record of five wins and eleven losses, hosted Basket Esch, who had managed just three wins in sixteen games this season.
The hosts dominated the first half, winning the first two quarters and heading into the break with a 46:29 lead. However, the visitors from Esch narrowed the gap in the third quarter, reducing the deficit to ten points and then outscored Wiltz 29:14 in the final quarter.
As a result, Basket Esch claimed their first victory after six consecutive losses, winning 81:76. The standout performance came from team captain Tatsiana Likhtarovich, who scored 26 points, collected six rebounds and finished as the top scorer of the match.
The league standings remain unchanged following this result: Les Sangliers Wiltz (5:12) stay in sixth place, while Basket Esch (4:13) remain seventh.
Game Day 3 in the second round will continue on Friday 14 February 2025, with Amicale Steesel (7:9) - who are still fighting for a spot in the top four - facing bottom-placed Musel Pikes (2:14).
On Saturday 15 February 2025, league leaders Gréngewald Hueschtert, who remain unbeaten in the regular season, will host second-placed Sparta Bertrange (12:4) in a highly anticipated clash.
