Luxembourg's Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Companies (ACA) has announced that the seventh edition of the ACA Innovation Award will take place on Tuesday 27 October 2026 at Luxexpo The Box in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
Held under the theme "From Data to Decision: Trusted AI for Insurance", the event is set to bring together six selected startups, Altilia, DEVANA, Figen AI, Interloom, Kalipso and MarvelX, alongside professionals from the insurance, reinsurance, technology, consultancy and innovation sectors.
According to the ACA, this year's edition will focus on transforming artificial intelligence (AI) into practical, reliable and secure solutions adapted to the insurance sector's operational and regulatory requirements. Participants will explore ways to automate insurance operations while maintaining oversight, as well as making regulatory compliance more manageable for businesses.
The ACA Innovation Award follows a collaborative format in which startups work alongside insurance professionals throughout the day to develop solutions addressing real challenges faced by companies operating in Luxembourg.
The six startups will work in mixed teams, each developing a practical use case based on the needs of Luxembourg's insurance and reinsurance sector. At the end of the day, each team will have five minutes to present its proposal to a seven-member jury, followed by another five minutes of questions and answers.
Launched in 2020 and redesigned in 2024, the ACA Innovation Award has attracted more than 36 participating startups across its editions. Previous winners include LEGALFLY, which developed a partnership with Luxembourg insurer Wealins following the 2024 edition.
The award will be presented by Luxembourg's Minister of Finance Gilles Roth, who also serves as Co-Chair of the Advisory Committee on AI in Finance. Luxembourg’s Minister for Digitalisation Stéphanie Obertin will address participants through a video message.
The event will conclude with the final presentations, awards ceremony and a networking reception.
