On Monday 12 October 2026, the City of Luxembourg (VdL) renewed its call for applications for the 2026 Prix Anne Beffort (Anne Beffort Prize), which recognises individuals, non-profit associations, groups and institutions promoting equal opportunities within Luxembourg City.
Founded in 2003, the award is named after Anne Beffort, Luxembourg's first female professor and co-founder of the Lycée de Jeunes Filles in Luxembourg City.
The 2026 edition focuses on the theme of "Gender Equality in Social Inclusion, Among People Experiencing Precarity and Vulnerability". The prize aims to recognise associations and organisations in the social sector whose projects promote gender equality while strengthening social inclusion.
According to the VdL, particular emphasis will be placed on initiatives addressing the specific needs of women and girls, as well as people facing multiple forms of exclusion or discrimination, particularly those related to gender, gender identity or sexual orientation.
The VdL, on the initiative of the Consultative Commission for Equal Opportunities, awards an annual prize of €3,000 to recognise those working towards a more equal society in which everyone has an equal place.
To apply, applicants must complete the online application form available at egalite.vdl.lu and submit their applications, addressed to the College of Aldermen, by email to egalite@vdl.lu no later than Sunday 22 November 2026.
