On the occasion of the Luxembourg Healthcare Gala Dinner, which took place on Friday 1 July 2022, Luxembourg's Minister of Health, Paulette Lenert, received the jury's "Inspirational Healthcare Personality of the Year" award.
In addition to Minister Lenert's award, the Luxembourg Health Directorate received an award in the category "Patient Experience Award" for its project: Facebook Live − "Froen un d'Santé" (questions on health).
From October 2020 to March 2022, the Health Directorate hosted an almost weekly Facebook livestream of an information session between Health Directorate virologist Dr Thomas Dentzer and another expert, on a specific topic concerning COVID-19. The session lasted an hour on average and internet users could ask their questions live on the theme of the day. The format contributed to tackling uncertainties in a difficult period and enabled the public to ask questions about the new virus and obtain reliable answers, according to Luxembourg's Ministry of Health.
During this period, 53 Facebook Lives were broadcast in five different languages, bringing together a total of eighteen experts on different topics related to COVID-19.
After two years of absence due to the pandemic, the Luxembourg Healthcare Gala Dinner returned to Luxexpo The Box in Luxembourg-Kirchberg on 1 July 2022 with its seventh edition.
This gala dinner is the largest gathering for healthcare professionals in Luxembourg. During this event, prizes are awarded to recognise best practices and contributions in the sector.
