On Thursday 5 November 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported the arrest of a man suspected of committing several thefts from shops in Luxembourg-Gare taking place earlier on this week.
According to the police, officers received a report of a break-in at a shop on Avenue de la Gare at approximately 09:20 on Tuesday 3 November 2026. Initial findings indicated that a man had forced his way into the shop by pushing open the entrance door before stealing several items.
As he attempted to leave, shop staff and two security guards noticed him. One of the security guards detained the man until police arrived.
Further investigations revealed that the suspect had already been involved in two other reported shoplifting incidents on Avenue de la Gare earlier that day.
During a subsequent search, police seized several items found in the man's possession, including goods linked to the earlier reported thefts.
