On Monday 12 October 2026, Luxembourg's National Pension Insurance Fund (Caisse nationale d'assurance pension - CNAP) issued a warning about ongoing phishing campaigns involving fraudulent text messages and websites attempting to steal users' personal information.
According to the CNAP, fraudulent SMS messages concerning bank details are circulating, encouraging recipients to click on links leading to illegitimate websites.
The CNAP reminded the public that its official website is www.cnap.public.lu.
The organisation also warned that other fraudulent websites are impersonating Luxembourg's Joint Social Security Centre (Centre commun de la sécurité sociale - CCSS), National Health Fund (Caisse nationale de santé - CNS) and LuxTrust to steal users' login credentials.
For further information about phishing attempts targeting social security institutions, the public can consult the CNS website under the section “ATTENTION aux arnaques par téléphone, SMS, e-mail”, which provides information about scams involving telephone calls, text messages and emails.
