On Monday 5 October 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported that several individuals had been placed in custody on Sunday 4 October because they posed a danger to themselves and others and were disturbing public order.
Early on Sunday morning, at around 02:20, officers on the Esplanade in Diekirch noticed a person lying motionless on the ground. According to initial information, a physical altercation had taken place between the man and three other customers of an establishment, during which the man sustained a minor injury to the back of his head. He also showed clear signs of alcohol consumption and became increasingly uncooperative towards the officers and paramedics at the scene.
At around 08:30, police received a report of a fight between three people at Ettelbruck railway station. Officers arriving at the scene found a man who showed visible signs of alcohol consumption and became increasingly uncooperative.
Shortly before 13:00, police received a report of a family dispute on Rue de la Chapelle in Strassen. According to initial information, a physical altercation had taken place between family members, during which death threats were made. During the subsequent investigation, officers located one of the people involved behind a shopping centre on Route d’Arlon in Bertrange. The man showed clear signs of alcohol and drug consumption and was also uncooperative.
At around 17:30, several callers reported a naked person near a park on Rue Jules Fischer in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie. Officers located and checked the person shortly afterwards.
In the evening, at around 21:30, police were called by the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) to an incident on Avenue John F. Kennedy in Luxembourg-Kirchberg. According to initial information, a visibly intoxicated man behaved uncooperatively towards the paramedics. As he refused any assistance but was unable to remain standing without support, it was decided to place him in custody following a medical examination.
In all cases, the relevant reports were drawn up.
