On Monday 21 September 2026, organisers of Open Doors Luxembourg, brain&more, reported that the 20th edition of the event attracted more than 32,000 visitors to 25 companies, organisations and institutions across the Grand Duchy.
The 20th anniversary edition of the event took place from Saturday 19 to Sunday 20 September under the theme “Dat ka Lëtzebuerg” (“That’s Luxembourg”) and highlighted the diversity of sectors and professions represented in Luxembourg. Industry, crafts, agriculture, mobility, healthcare, research, public and social institutions all participated as visitors of all ages were given access to places that are normally closed to the public and speak directly with professionals.
According to brain&more, the most popular venues were GRIDX in Wickrange, the CFL Stabling and Maintenance Centre in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie, the new SICA Resource Centre in Kehlen, the National Health Laboratory (LNS) in Dudelange, Maison Josy Juckem in Sprinkange/Dippach, Molkerei Thiry in Schouweiler, Brasserie Nationale in Bascharage, as well as the family farm Gehaanshaff in Bettembourg, which participated in collaboration with the Chamber of Agriculture.
On Saturday 19 September, Minister for Digitalisation and Minister for Research and Higher Education, Stéphanie Obertin, as well as the Minister for Health and Social Security, Martine Deprez, demonstrated their support by visiting the LNS – National Health Laboratory in Dudelange.
Organised every year by brain&more, under the patronage of Luxembourg’s Ministry of the Economy, Open Doors Luxembourg has become a well-established event for families and anyone curious to discover Luxembourg from a different perspective. The event offers an opportunity to explore companies, organisations, workshops, municipalities and production sites from the inside, while showcasing the diversity of professions and expertise found in the country.
Since its creation, Open Doors Luxembourg has welcomed more than 415,000 visitors across its various editions, confirming the public’s interest in this practical and accessible way of discovering Luxembourg’s economy.
Beyond providing an opportunity for the public to discover these organisations, Open Doors Luxembourg also puts the spotlight on the participating companies and institutions and their teams. Managers and employees have the opportunity to present their work and expertise, speak directly with visitors and share their pride in their profession. For young people and those considering their career options, these encounters also provide an opportunity to discover lesser-known professions and learn about training, internship and employment opportunities.
Following the success of the 20th edition, brain&more has announced that the 21st edition of Open Doors Luxembourg will take place on 18 and 19 September 2027.
Companies, organisations and institutions interested in opening their doors to the public during the next edition are invited to contact brain&more now to obtain all the information required to participate.
