On Friday 18 September 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported that a man had been arrested following an incident at an apartment on Grand-Rue in Ettelbruck.
On the morning of Wednesday 16 September, officers were called to the apartment several times. According to initial findings, a man had repeatedly been outside a woman’s apartment. During their first intervention, officers found the man nearby. After receiving personal belongings from the apartment, he was instructed to leave the area.
Shortly afterwards, the man returned to the address and damaged the apartment door in an attempt to gain entry. He was also uncooperative towards officers, insulted them and repeatedly made threats. During the subsequent police procedures, he put up considerable resistance.
The police arrested the man on the orders of the Public Prosecutor’s Office and brought him before an investigating judge the following morning.
During a security check, officers also found a small quantity of hashish on him. The police drew up the relevant reports.
