On Wednesday 2 September 2026, European Council President António Costa visited Luxembourg as part of his tour of EU capitals to meet with Prime Minister Luc Frieden.
The visiting European Council President attended a meeting at the Ministry of State at Hôtel Saint-Maximin in Luxembourg-Ville, where he met with Prime Minister Frieden, representatives of Luxembourg’s Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Cooperation and Foreign Trade, representatives of Luxembourg to the European Union, and other members of the European Union and European Council.
