Police Seize Knife, Drugs During Check of Suspicious Group

The Grand Ducal Police have reported that several illegal items were seized after officers checked a group of suspicious individuals in Luxembourg City on Saturday 8 August 2026.

According to the police, officers were called to Rue du Fort Dumoulin at around 00:06, where they identified and checked eight individuals, most of whom were juveniles.

During the checks, officers seized several items, including a knife, a quantity of marijuana, pepper spray, a balaclava, adhesive tape, a screwdriver, a cable and an electric scooter.

Police also found a scooter at the scene that had previously been reported stolen. Investigations are under way to determine whether it is linked to the group.

The Public Prosecutor's Office was informed of the incident and ordered the seizure of the illegal items, as well as a mobile phone. An official report has been filed.
