The Grand Ducal Police have reported two separate arrests made on Monday 3 and Tuesday 4 August 2026 in connection with a European Arrest Warrant and a public disturbance.

On Monday morning, a man attended a police station to collect personal belongings from a seized vehicle. According to the police, a check of his identity revealed that he was wanted by the Spanish authorities under a European Arrest Warrant.

Acting on the instructions of the Public Prosecutor's Office, police arrested the man, who was brought before an investigating judge later the same afternoon.

In a separate incident shortly before 03:00 on Tuesday, police responded to a report of a man smoking between fuel pumps and behaving aggressively at a petrol station on Route de Longwy in Rodange.

According to the police, the man made threats and insults, ignored officers' instructions and continued behaving aggressively during a medical examination, where he also threatened and insulted hospital staff.

Due to his behaviour and his high level of intoxication, he was placed in a holding cell. Police also drew up a report in connection with the threats and insults.
