The Grand Ducal Police have reported that during the night of Saturday 1 to Sunday 2 August 2026, they recorded around 110 incidents nationwide involving noise complaints, fights, disputes and public disturbances.

According to the police, around 60 of the reported incidents concerned noise complaints. In most cases, the situation had already calmed down by the time police patrols arrived or could be resolved at the scene.

In one case involving domestic violence in Luxembourg City, an expulsion order was issued against one of the individuals involved on the instructions of the public prosecutor's office.

Another incident was reported at around 23:44 on Saturday in a venue on Rue Victor Hugo in Esch-sur-Alzette, where an intoxicated man was allegedly harassing customers. As he was heavily intoxicated, disturbing public order and posing a danger to himself and others, he was taken into protective custody after undergoing a medical examination to sober up.
