The Grand Ducal Police has reported that a man was taken into protective custody following an altercation involving several people.
On Wednesday 29 July 2026, at around 16:00, the police received a report of an altercation involving several people outside central rail station in Luxembourg-Gare.
When police patrols arrived at the scene, the suspected main perpetrators were no longer present. One man involved in the altercation was uncooperative with officers. As he was heavily intoxicated and posed a danger to himself and others, he was taken into protective custody to sober up after undergoing a medical examination.
