MeteoLux Maintains Heat Warning, Warns of 80 km/h Wind Gusts

On Wednesday 29 July 2026, Luxembourg's national weather service, MeteoLux, maintained its yellow heat warning for the entire country and warned that a weather disturbance on Thursday 30 July 2026 could bring wind gusts of up to 80 km/h.

According to the latest forecast, Wednesday will remain very hot and largely sunny, with temperatures reaching 32°C to 34°C in the north and 34°C to 36°C in the south.

The heat warning remains in force until 12:00 on Thursday. MeteoLux continues to warn of moderate heat stress, with fatigue and heat exhaustion possible during prolonged exposure or physical activity. 

However, MeteoLux forecasts that a weather disturbance will cross Luxembourg around midday and in the early afternoon on Thursday, bringing scattered showers, with thunderstorms not ruled out, as well as wind gusts of up to 80 km/h. Conditions are expected to become calmer, drier and only slightly cloudy after the system passes.
