On Friday 26 June 2026, the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) responded to multiple weather-related incidents in and around Luxembourg-Ville following thunderstorms.

According to the CGDIS, firefighters responded to three flooded basements, secured one loose object, dealt with damage to three roofs and cleared fourteen fallen trees or branches.

The storms also led to a lightning strike that sparked the beginning of a vegetation fire near Reckange, which was brought under control by emergency services.

Separately, firefighters responded to a house roof fire in Luxembourg-Hamm; no injuries were reported. 

The CGDIS emergency bulletin further recorded several traffic accidents across the country during the same period, including collisions involving up to three vehicles and one incident in which a pedestrian was struck.
