On Thursday 25 June 2026, Luxembourg's national weather portal, MeteoLux, issued a red heat warning for extreme temperatures, which will remain in force from 00:00 on Thursday until 07:00 on Saturday 27 June 2026 for the entire country.
MeteoLux warned that extreme heat stress is expected during the warning period. The perceived temperature will remain exceptionally high throughout the day and continue to stay elevated overnight, with no significant relief expected for at least three consecutive days.
The weather service added that heat exhaustion and heatstroke are likely, even after limited exposure to the heat or during light physical activity.
