On Thursday 4 June 2026, Luxembourg’s public provider of senior care services SERVIOR, organised its traditional annual residents' celebration, held at Luxexpo The Box in Luxembourg-Kirchberg, bringing together nearly 500 residents from the various SERVIOR homes, accompanied and supported by almost 200 staff members.

This year's edition, themed "SERVIOR Express", drew inspiration from the world of the Orient Express and took participants on a symbolic journey from Paris to Istanbul. According to SERVIOR, the culinary offerings, entertainment and performances followed this route throughout the day, while railway-inspired decorations helped to create the atmosphere of travelling aboard the SERVIOR Express.

The programme featured a symbolic journey from Paris to Istanbul, with culinary offerings, entertainment and performances inspired by destinations along the route. Residents also attended performances by the Danseuses d'Or, whose repertoire included Charleston, French Cancan and oriental dances. The dancers invited residents to participate in some of the routines. The event programme also included live music, accordion performances and themed costumes. Dessert featured a tiered cake.

SERVIOR highlighted that nearly 100 additional people worked on-site and behind the scenes to ensure the smooth running of the event, including teams responsible for service, catering, pastry production, cleaning, technical services, gardening and organisation.

The event took place in the presence of Luxembourg’s Family, Solidarity, Living Together and Reception of Refugees Minister Max Hahn, as well as SERVIOR's senior management, represented by Director General Alain Dichter, Director of Infrastructure and Finance Max Kremer, Director of Human Resources and Customer Services Corinne Theis and Operations Director Raoul Vinandy.

SERVIOR noted that it was particularly touched by Minister Hahn’s presence and by the time he dedicated to residents.

The annual celebration was held in a festive atmosphere, said the public provider of senior care services, adding that each year, the event remains an “important occasion” in SERVIOR's calendar, centred on “community, enjoyment and togetherness”.
