On Friday 22 May 2026, the Grand Ducal Police issued a statement reminding visitors to respect the rules in place around the Upper Sûre Lake ahead of the expected busy weekend.
The police noted that the lake attracts many visitors, particularly during periods of good weather. Nevertheless, certain rules must be observed.
In view of the favourable weather forecast this weekend, the police called on visitors to:
- use only designated parking spaces;
- avoid blocking access roads;
- respect local residents, animals and plant life;
- comply with the regulations and rules applicable in protected areas.
The police added that they will be carrying out regular checks in and around the Upper Sûre Lake area.
