The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a fatal traffic accident occurred on the N10 in Remerschen on Friday 22 May 2026.
Police were alerted to the incident at around 16:30. According to initial reports, two cars were involved in a head-on collision for reasons that remain unknown.
One of the drivers, an 81-year-old man, died at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle was taken to hospital for treatment. According to initial information, the woman's injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The public prosecutor's office has tasked the forensic police unit with investigating the cause of the accident.
The N10 was closed for the duration of the rescue and recovery operations.
