On Monday 18 May 2026, the Grand Ducal Police launched an appeal for witnesses in relation to a hit-and-run incident which occurred between Windhof and Steinfort on Sunday 17 May 2026.
According to the police, at approximately 23:10 on Sunday a road traffic collision involving two vehicles occurred on the N6 near the junction with Hagen.
According to initial information, one vehicle struck another from behind or around the rear driver’s side. As a result, the driver of the vehicle in front lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a ditch. The driver sustained injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The vehicle which collided with the crashed vehicle left the scene after the accident without stopping or dealing with the damage caused.
