On Friday 15 May 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported on two arrests made in Luxembourg City across the evening of Wednesday 13 through to the morning of Thursday 14 May, for drug and theft related offences.

According to the initial information, on the evening of Wednesday 13 May, police were informed of the theft of a mobile phone on Boulevard Royal in the Luxembourg-Ville. The suspect was prevented from fleeing by a security officer. A police patrol attended the scene and was able to locate the suspect. On the instructions of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, he was arrested and was brought before an investigating judge on the morning of Friday 15 May.

Then during the night of Wednesday 13 through to Thursday 14 May, police officers in the capital’s station district noticed two men whose suspicious behaviour gave rise to the suspicion that they could be a drug buyer and a drug dealer. The suspected buyer was subsequently checked, during which three drug wraps were seized. The drugs were confiscated and the suspected drug dealer was apprehended. During the subsequent body search, cash and a mobile telephone were found. On the instructions of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the suspect was arrested and brought before an investigating judge on the morning of Thursday 14 May.
