The Grand Ducal Police have reported arrests made on Wednesday 13 May 2026 in connection with a violation of an expulsion order in Hosingen and a robbery at a newsagent in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie.
During the night, police were informed of a man present at a residential address in Hosingen despite being subject to an expulsion order. A police patrol located the suspect at the scene, where he reportedly behaved uncooperatively towards officers. Acting on the orders of the public prosecutor’s office, the man was arrested and brought before an investigating judge on Wednesday afternoon.
Later that day, at around 13:50, police were alerted to a robbery at a newsagent in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie. According to initial information, a man wearing a balaclava entered the shop and demanded that an employee hand over the contents of the cash register before fleeing the scene with the cash.
During the subsequent investigation and search operation, police located a man near the scene matching the suspect’s description. Officers seized a large sum of cash and a balaclava during a body search. Acting on the orders of the public prosecutor’s office, the suspect was arrested and brought before an investigating judge on Thursday 14 May 2026.
