The Grand Ducal Police have reported several arrests made on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 May 2026 across Luxembourg, in connection with theft, robbery and a traffic accident involving a child.
According to initial information, at around 04:30 on Saturday morning, a man was robbed by two individuals in Clausen. The suspects allegedly distracted the victim by engaging him in conversation while stealing his mobile phone and cash before fleeing the scene. Police officers located the suspected perpetrators shortly afterwards. Acting on the orders of the public prosecutor’s office, both men were arrested and brought before an investigating judge on Saturday afternoon.
Later on Saturday, police were informed of a traffic accident in Petit-Nobressart (Ell), in which a small child suffered a broken leg and was taken to hospital. According to initial findings, a car collided for reasons still unknown with a stroller being pushed by two individuals, causing the stroller and one of the pedestrians to fall. Police checks established that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. Acting on the orders of the public prosecutor’s office, the driver was arrested and brought before an investigating judge, while the vehicle was seized.
On Sunday afternoon, police were informed of a robbery on Place de la Gare in Luxembourg-Gare, during which, according to initial information, a suspect stole a man’s necklace before fleeing towards Bonnevoie. A police patrol later located the suspect at Luxembourg-Gare railway station. Acting on the orders of the public prosecutor’s office, the suspected thief was arrested and brought before an investigating judge.
