On the evening of Friday 3 April 2026, the Grand Ducal Police warned that one or more suspected burglars were on the run in the Roodt-sur-Syre area.
In connection with a burglary in Roodt-sur-Syre (municipality of Betzdorf), police said they were searching the surrounding area for one or more suspects.
Anyone who sees suspicious persons is asked to call the emergency number 113 immediately.
The police also warned the public not to pick up hitchhikers.
Police reported a similar incident in Niederkorn on Thursday 2 April 2026.
