On Thursday 2 April 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported several incidents, including drug-related offences and arrests linked to public disturbances across Luxembourg.

On the afternoon of Tuesday 31 March 2026, the police received a report of drugs found at a residential address in Kehlen. A police patrol attended the scene and, on the order of the public prosecutor, carried out a house search, which yielded positive results. A suspect was subsequently arrested and brought before an investigating judge.

Another unrelated incident occurred on the afternoon of Wednesday 1 April 2026. According to the police, officers were called to a shop on Rue Alphonse Weicker in Luxembourg-Kirchberg, where an intoxicated man was allegedly attempting to steal items. A police patrol located the individual and, due to his condition and for disturbing public order, he was taken into custody following a medical examination.

On the same afternoon, another intoxicated man was reported at the train station in Ettelbruck for inappropriate behaviour. Police located the individual, who showed clear signs of alcohol consumption. As he posed a risk to himself and others, he was also taken into custody following a medical examination.

Police also reported that during a vehicle check in Mertert on the night of Thursday 2 April 2026, officers detected the smell of cannabis coming from inside a vehicle. Police found drugs on both occupants as well as inside the vehicle. They also seized mobile phones and a folding knife during a body search. On the order of the public prosecutor, officers confiscated the drugs, items and the vehicle and drew up a report.
