The Grand Ducal Police have reported that two suspected shoplifters were apprehended on Thursday 19 March 2026, following a shoplifting incident in Luxembourg-Gare.
According to the police, at approximately 12:20 on Thursday, two suspected shoplifters were reported in a perfume shop on Avenue de la Gare. According to initial information, the suspects — a man and a woman — had attempted to steal perfume bottles and cosmetic products but were caught in the act by security staff. A police patrol attended the scene immediately.
During a body search, further stolen goods as well as cash were recovered and seized by officers.
On the instructions of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the individuals were subjected to an identity check. A foreign national record and report were drawn up.
