The Grand Ducal Police have reported that several alcohol-related disturbances took place across Luxembourg on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 February 2026.

Shortly before midnight on Friday, police were informed of an intoxicated individual harassing passers-by at Luxembourg's central railway station (Gare de Luxembourg). As the individual could not be calmed by officers and became increasingly agitated, they were deemed to pose a danger to themselves and others. Following a medical examination, the individual was placed in a sobering-up cell.

At approximately 05:00 on Saturday morning, police received a report of a physical altercation involving several people at a nightclub in Luxembourg-Hollerich. Upon arrival, officers found multiple individuals. One person sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for examination. Another individual became increasingly aggressive toward the officers and, due to their intoxicated state, posed a danger to themselves and others. After a medical examination, this person was also placed in a sobering-up cell.

That same morning, police in Esch-sur-Alzette were alerted to an altercation involving three people near a petrol station. The individuals had parked their vehicle in the middle of the road and were arguing. Checks revealed that the individuals were heavily intoxicated. The driver tested positive for alcohol and received a temporary driving ban. Due to his intoxicated state, the driver was placed in temporary custody following a medical examination.
