The Grand Ducal Police have reported that two individuals were arrested in Esch-sur-Alzette following an attempted violent theft during the night of Friday 6 February 2026.
According to the initial information, the incident occurred in Cité Louis Blum, where the two suspects gained access to a garage and attempted to steal several items, including a bicycle. The suspects were interrupted by the property owner, from whom they forcibly broke free before fleeing the scene, leaving the stolen items behind.
Following a search operation, police were able to locate and apprehend both individuals.
On the orders of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the two suspects were arrested, subjected to identification procedures and later brought before an investigating judge.
