On Friday 30 January 2026, the Grand Ducal Police reported that three arrests were made in relation to drug offences in Luxembourg City on Thursday 29 January.

According to the initial information, on Thursday evening, a police patrol on Rue Mathias Hardt in Luxembourg-Gare noticed two men emerging from hedges and stepping onto the pavement. Upon seeing the officers, they attempted to flee in the direction of Boulevard de la Pétrusse. Both men were apprehended immediately. Subsequent enquiries revealed that they were suspected drug dealers.

On the instructions of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, both were arrested and brought before an investigating judge on the morning of Friday 30 January 2026.

Also on Thursday evening, a case of domestic violence was reported in Luxembourg-Eich, in which according to the initial information, a woman was allegedly pushed down the stairs by her partner. A police patrol immediately attended the scene and was able to locate the suspected victim.

Following a search, the suspect was apprehended. Drugs were seized from him, and a subsequent body search revealed a large sum of cash as well as a mobile phone. Further enquiries established that the suspect was believed to be a drug dealer.

On the instructions of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, he was arrested and brought before an investigating judge.
