On Thursday 11 December 2025, the Grand Ducal Police reported that two driving bans were issued overnight in relation to drink-driving offences.
According to the police, on Wednesday 10 December 2025, a vehicle was reported on the A4 near Pontpierre driving in an erratic manner. A police patrol located the driver a short time later. Officers administered an alcohol test which returned a positive result and a provisional driving ban was issued.
Then at approximately 01:50 on Thursday 11 December 2025, a police patrol checked a driver in Pétange who had parked in a space reserved for people with special needs. According to the initial report, the driver showed clear signs of alcohol consumption. Officers administered an alcohol test which returned a positive result and a provisional driving ban was issued.
