The Grand Ducal Police have reported that several burglaries, as well as thefts and attempted thefts from vehicles, occurred on Monday 1 December 2025.

The police received reports of multiple burglaries on Monday. That evening, a burglary occurred at a cellar storage unit in an apartment building in Luxembourg-Weimerskirch. The perpetrator gained entry but was surprised by the owner and fled with the stolen goods. A police search proved unsuccessful.

Another burglary was reported during the night from Monday 1 to Tuesday 2 December at a detached house on Rue du Bois in Berchem. According to initial information, unknown perpetrators gained entry through a window and ransacked several rooms. They were discovered by the residents and fled with the stolen goods. An immediate search was unsuccessful.

Investigations have been launched in both cases.

Police also received reports of several thefts and attempted thefts from vehicles. On Monday evening, on Boulevard Baden-Powell in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie, unknown perpetrators gained access to a vehicle and stole a wallet, among other items.

In the early morning hours of Tuesday, two men were reported trying to open car doors on Rue de la Déportation in Luxembourg-Gasperich. A police patrol went to the scene, but the search was unsuccessful.

Investigations have been launched in both cases.

On Monday afternoon, the police also received a report of a robbery near a tram stop in the capital's train station district (Luxembourg-Gare). According to initial reports, three women pushed the victim against the tram doors to open his backpack and steal his wallet. They then fled. An investigation has been launched.
