The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a man was arrested in Luxembourg City on Wednesday 5 November 2025, following the discovery of a knife and threats made during a police check.
According to the initial information, on the afternoon of Wednesday at approximately 16:20, the police received a report of a man carrying a knife on the Plateau Saint-Esprit in Luxembourg-Ville.
A police patrol attended the scene immediately, located the suspect and secured the knife. During an identity check, the man also made threats.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office was informed and ordered the arrest of the suspect. He was brought before an investigating judge on the morning of Thursday 6 November 2025.
