The Grand Ducal Police have reported that on Friday 19 September 2025, a glider crash landed near the airfield in Useldange, west of Mersch.
According to the police, they received a report of the crash at around 16:10 on Friday. The aircraft was located in a meadow near the airfield and both the pilot and passenger were taken to hospital for a check-up.
Initial findings indicated that, for reasons yet to be determined, the pilot lost control of the glider, resulting in the crash landing. Both the pilot and passenger able to free themselves from the aircraft.
