
On Wednesday 17 September 2025, Mayor of the City of Luxembourg, Lydie Polfer, and alderwoman Corinne Cahen, welcomed the Vice-President of the European Parliament, Sabine Verheyen, to the City Hall.
The City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg- VdL) reported that discussions during the visit focused, among other topics, on the attractiveness of the Luxembourg capital for European institutions as well as on issues relating to housing and in particular affordable housing. The City’s representatives also took this opportunity to present the municipal housing policy and the missions of the Housing Department of the City of Luxembourg.
The VdL noted that the meeting highlighted the City of Luxembourg’s commitment to strengthening its role as a European capital, while remaining attentive to the needs of its citizens.
