The Grand Ducal Police have reported that on the morning of Thursday 4 September 2025, between 07:10 and 09:10 the traffic police recorded a total of 38 infringements of the Highway Code on the A4 motorway.

According to the initial report, the traffic police division carried out a series of roadside checks on the A4 motorway in the direction of Luxembourg during which fifteen motorcyclists received on-the-spot fines (€145 and 2 penalty points) for dangerous overtaking manoeuvres between two lanes. Three motorcyclists were also fined for wearing helmets fitted with non-approved visors (€145 and 2 penalty points).

In addition, three vehicles were found to have non-compliant exhaust systems (€74) and in two cases defects were identified in the tyres. Five drivers were fined (€250 and 4 penalty points) for using a mobile phone while driving and several other fines were issued for irregularities in vehicle documents (insurance, registration, licence and tax disc).

Moreover, one motorcyclist was stopped for not holding a valid driving licence. His motorcycle was seized by officers and an official report was filed.
