The Grand Ducal Police have reported two unrelated arrests made on Thursday 26 June 2025, following incidents involving theft from a vehicle in Christnach and suspected drug dealing in Luxembourg-Gare.
On Thursday morning, the police received reports that a laptop had been stolen from a vehicle in Christnach. The victim caught the two perpetrators and was able to recover the stolen laptop. Shortly afterwards, another report indicated that two individuals had been trying car door handles and were later seen sneaking around a house. The police apprehended both suspects.
On the orders of the public prosecutor's office, one of the two suspects was arrested. The second suspect, a minor, was taken to the State Socio-Educational Centre (Centre socio-éducatif de l'État - CSEE) for young offenders.
On Thursday evening, a police patrol near Boulevard de la Pétrusse in Luxembourg-Gare observed a man searching through bushes. Suspecting that he might be a drug dealer, they searched the area and found several drug packages in the bushes. A separate police patrol on Rue Mathias Hardt was informed of a previous drug transaction, in which the description of the drug dealer matched that of the earlier suspect.
The public prosecutor's office was informed and ordered the arrest of the suspect, who was scheduled to appear before an investigating judge in the morning.
