On Monday 23 June 2025, Luxembourg celebrated National Day, which this year also marked the 25th anniversary of Grand Duke Henri’s accession to the throne.

The National Day programme began with the official ceremony, organised by the government in honour of Grand Duke Henri, at the Philharmonie Luxembourg and in the presence of the Grand Ducal family. The ceremony included speeches by the Grand Duke, the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Claude Wiseler and Prime Minister, Luc Frieden.

Following the ceremony, the Grand Ducal couple and Prince Sébastien attended the military and non-military parades. Grand Duke Henri and Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume reviewed the troops.

At the invitation of Archbishop Jean-Claude Hollerich, the Grand Ducal couple and the Grand Ducal family attended the solemn Te Deum, which took place in the afternoon at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Luxembourg.

The National Day celebrations concluded with the second day of City Sounds at the Glacis parking area, which focused on pop in all its forms. The evening featured performances by renowned Luxembourg artists and international stars such as James Bay and Train.
