The Grand Ducal Police have reported that they arrested three individuals after a shot was fired in Vianden on Monday 19 May 2025.
On Monday evening, the police received reports of an incident on Grand-Rue in Vianden where, according to initial information, a person was shot. Several police patrols responded to the scene. Initial investigations revealed that a scuffle had ensued between the victim and the perpetrators, who knew each other, and a shot was fired. No one was injured.
The police apprehended the three suspects following further investigations. They also confiscated a machete from one of the suspects.
The suspects were arrested by order of the public prosecutor's office and brought before an investigating judge on Tuesday 20 May 2025.
